![]() I am running Vista & CS3, I've downloaded the Nik collection. I notice this only happens with HDR Efex Pro 2, not Silver Efex, etc. You can probably write to the good people at Nik (now Google) and ask. ![]() I was hoping someone would take over Aperture from the Apple people. I'm still doing the "extra step", then re-importing into Aperture. ![]() Has this ever been resolved? I still cannot automatically reimport images back to the source folder in Aperture after processing them with HDR Efex Pro. I apologize for the inconvenience and I thank you for your patience while we work on a permanent solution. After saving, you can then manually import the HDR image to Aperture. You will be prompted to choose a place to save the file, outside of Aperture. This change only needs to be made once, so you will not need to open settings with every image.Īfter processing your image in HDR Efex Pro 2, click Save. Under the Stacking tab, uncheck “Automatically reimport.”Ĭlick Ok to save the setting. While we develop and test a potential fix for this issue, please use the following workaround to manually reimport the HDR image: The issue of images processed with HDR Efex Pro 2 not being imported back to Aperture is something our team is currently working to resolve. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing trouble when attempting to use HDR Efex Pro 2. Thank you for contacting Nik by Google, I hope you are doing well. All my other Nik software is OK and up to date I'm having a similar problem with Silver Efex Pro under Windows 10, but in my case Photoshop CC shuts down without saving my changes. Has anyone come across anything like this? The only way I can actually saye an edited photo is by using 'Save As'. I also checked the standalone Nik application, and HDR Efex Pro 2 has the same problem there - when I hit save the application quits and the file is nowhere to be seen. I can still use Silver Efex and the Dfine plugin for noise reduction without problem. The strange thing is that other Nik plugins appear to be unaffected. The TIFF versions are still there, but the processed image that normally appears in the same album as the original images is nowhere to be found. After choosing one of the preset filters, I hit save - and then nothing. For example, after selecting the images that I want to use for processing with HDR Efex Pro 2, it creates a TIFF version of the images as normal, asks me to select the ghost reference image, creates the HDR image, and gets me to the filter screen as normal. But for reference, I use Aperture 3.6 with OSX 10.11.1 on a first generation 15" retina screen MacBook Pro.īasically, the plugin appears to be working normally right up until the last step of saving the final image. It's persisted for a while, and first appeared about a year ago (work and other things have kept me away from photography for a while), so it's not directly tied to the El Capitan upgrade. I seem to be having a strange problem with the Nik HDR Efex Pro 2 plugin in Aperture.
